Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia Dies At 79

The longest sitting Justice on the Supreme Court has died.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has the details of his life:

Chief Justice John Roberts has confirmed the death of Justice Antonin Sclaia, releasing a statement saying he’s saddened to report the death of his colleague, describing Scalia as an extraordinary individual and jurist admired and treasured.

Scalia was considered the central figure of the court’s conservative wing and the longest serving currently on the bench… appointed by President Reagan.

The U.S. Marshals’ Service says the Justice Scalia died of natural causes while at a private residence in the Big Bend region of Texas.

He was 79 years old.

His death could set up a contentious process to name a successor… a successor Republican candidate Senator Ted Cruz has already said should be named by the next President.
