Fewer people tuned in to watch the big game on Sunday.

FOX’s Lisa Lacerra reports:

111.9 million people watched Denver’s victory over Carolina in Super Bowl 50. The third most watched event in television history, but the Nielsen Company says viewership is down from the past two years.

Last year’s down to the wire contest between New England and Seattle keeps the record with 114.4 million viewers.

And Nielsen saying an average of 1.4 million people watched the live stream of the game and the stream had just under four million unique visitors during the game.
