University of Wisconsin-Madison men’s basketball coach Bo Ryan has had a pretty amazing career. He graduated from coaching junior high basketball to serving as head coach of the Big Ten UW Badgers since 2001. His impressive 43 years of coaching is just the icing on the cake, as he has also used basketball as a platform for some incredible philanthropic work; Bo and his wife Kelly have raised unbelievable amounts of money for the American Cancer Society with their fundraiser “Shooting Down Cancer”, which this year alone raised over $694,000.

In this edition of Greta Talk, Coach Ryan catches up with UW alumna and Badgers super-fan Greta Van Susteren to talk about all things basketball. The pair also discusses Ryan’s induction into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame, the possibility of him retiring after this season, and they even debate the issue of whether or not college athletes should be paid.

And why does Coach Ryan promise Greta that the Badgers will beat Maryland this year?
