Thanksgiving Travel Forecast

Lower prices at the pump are a welcome sight for millions of Americans who are hitting the road this Thanksgiving.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has more:

Almost 47 million of us will travel 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving, taking to the roads and the air to get there.

AAA says drivers are getting some relief with the lowest pump prices for the Thanksgiving holiday since 2008.

The national average for gas prices is around two dollars a gallon.

And while it may be cheaper to get there, that also means you’ll have more company on your route. An additional 300,000 more people are expected to travel this year… Making this the seventh consecutive year of growth for Thanksgiving travel.

Millions of us will also fly, helped by a silght decrease in airfares this season.
