Kansas City Royals Win World Series

The Kansas City Royals claim the World Series crown… outlasting the Mets in game five. The Royals did it by coming from behind in the ninth inning… tying the score, and forcing extra innings. The final score was 7-2.

FOX News’ Gurnal Scott reports from Citi Field in New York:

It was time for KC to celebrate.

(World Series Game 5) “Inside corner… The royals 2015 World Champions!”

The call on FOX.

Down 2-nothing in the ninth, the Royals tied the game then plated 5 in the 12th to seal the title. Manager Ned Yost credited the team.

(Yost) ”As determined a group that I’ve ever seen; that they were gonna get back and finish the deal this time.”

Mets Manager Terry Collins opted not to take starter Matt Harvey out to start the ninth which cost the Mets. His simple response…

(Collins) ”This is my fault.”

Royals catcher Salvador Perez was named Series MVP.
