Budweiser and Miller Joining Forces to Form World’s Largest Brewer

A merger in the works between the makers of Budweiser and Miller beer and they will form the world’s largest brewer. A deal worth more than $104 billion.

FOX News Radio’s Simon Owen reports:

It could be the world’s biggest beer company… ABInBev, which makes Budweiser, moving to buy SABMiller which makes Miller Genuine Draft.

Miller had rejected five previous offers, but has now accepted in principle a bid of $106 billion.

Between them the companies produce a 1/3 of the world’s beer. However, that size may be the deal’s undoing. Analysts saying regulators may demand some brands be sold off. Experts say there could also be substantial redundancies.
