Cubs Fans Seek the Return of Bartman in the Playoffs

UPDATE: Steve Bartman has declined the offer and the money raised up until the Cubs Wild Card game on Wednesday will now go to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Baseball’s playoffs start Tuesday and one team is looking to end a curse anyway that they can.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig has the story.

The Chicago Cubs are in the playoffs, but they haven’t won a World Series since 1908. Thought they had a chance in 2003, but then you may remember this happened.

(Announcer) “Again in the air down the left field line…. Alou reaching…into the stands and couldn’t get it… he’s livid with a fan.”

The infamous Steve Bartman incident. The Cubs fan catching a foul ball at Wrigley during the N.L.C.S.

We can relive that forever thanks to MLB.com.

Now a fan wants to make amends, starting a GoFundMe campaign to send Steve Bartman to the Cubs Wild Card playoff game. They’ve set a goal of $5,000.
