President Obama made a special phone call to two U.S. Army officers getting married in Hawaii this past weekend to apologize for ruining their plans.

FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports.

U.S. Army Captain Natalie Heimel wedded fellow Captain Edward Mallue Jr. at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Sunday. But, the course manager told them he had to move the ceremony off the green. President Obama was due to play through…

(Heimel) “The actual location was beautiful, it overlooked the golf course so before the ceremony began everyone was on the bluff looking out on the golf course, trying to see if we could find the president.”

The commander-in-chief called the couple after the ceremony to apologize, even though the White House says it didn’t know beforehand the couple was told to relocate. The newlyweds say, ‘no hard feelings’.
