It’s National Teen Driver Safety Week and we’ve got the list of best cars under $12,000 for your teens, along with a cool new gadget that could make your teen a better driver.

FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso with the latest FOX Wheels:

Car crashes remain a leading cause of death among American teens and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has compiled a list of several vehicles less than 10 years old and under $12,000 that all got good marks on crash tests and safety including the Chevy Malibu, Ford Fusion and Volkswagen Passat.

The IIHS also advises parents buying cars for their teens to think side impact airbags and traction control. But if that’s not enough, Agilis Systems is out with a new motosafety product.

(Barford) “Small little device that plugs into the on-board computer of your car.”

That also allows you to see when your teen cross so-called geo-fences.

(Barford) “Areas that you can designate on a map.”

Agilis Systems says thousands of parents are using teen driving coach.
