Monday on "The Alan Colmes Show," Alan spoke with former Congressman and Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich about what President Obama should do about ISIS, and had some harsh criticism for President Barack Obama and the Bush Administration regarding policy in Iraq. Rep. Kucinich, who is also a Fox News contributor, said the US should not be a policeman for the world and let Syria handle ISIS, and said that President Barack Obama was not as anti-war as he is portrayed. He also said President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should "absolutely" be in jail for their role in the war in Iraq.
COLMES: Are you saying that Dick Cheney should be in jail, George Bush should be in jail? REP. KUCINICH: Absolutely! Are you kidding? That's not...is there a just world? I mean you look at people who end up. In this world, the more power someone has the less likely they are to be able to be accountable to justice.
REP. KUCINICH: President Obama doesn't tell the truth about how we got into Iraq, that it was based on a lie. COLMES: He was against it, he ran against the war. REP. KUCINICH: Excuse me, I was in that election. And the New York Times imputed to Barack Obama, who was then Senator, a position on the war he didn't even hold. And they made him into am anti-war leader, and you go into the Congressional Record and see how many speeches he gave against the war. If you can find more than three in a period of two years, you should get a prize.
