I got a chance to speak to Danica Patrick about this weekend’s race at Texas and she told me:

Patrick: “I’ve always liked Texas. I’ve been racing there since 2005 in Indy Car and they put on a great show.”

And when it comes to the track’s surface for Danica, it’s–

Patrick: “A nice weathered in track that’s rough and bumpy and it’s still very fast– but the tires go off and the surface has really taken on a lot of character over the years.”

Fan voting for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2015 has now begun online and runs through May 20th. The five nominees receiving the highest percentage of votes will compromise the ‘Fan Vote’ ballot.

And after driver complaints about tire failures at last month’s California race and the product Goodyear brought to the track, NASCAR announces it will not regulate tire pressures this weekend at Texas.
