Watches aren't just for telling time anymore. Samsung reveals its new "smartwatch."
FOX News Radio's Chris Foster reports:
FOX on Tech.
It's called the Galaxy Gear. A watch with a camera, a little screen to get texts and e-mails, and use social media. Samsung Chief Executive Shin Jong-kyun:
(Shin Jong-kyun) "All together Galaxy Gear brings you smart freedom and is a perfect companion to Galaxy Note 3."
The Galaxy Note 3 is the Samsung phone the watch links to, wirelessly. You can take and make calls on the watch, through voice activation but there's just a speaker and no earphone, so everyone around could hear. There are also fitness applications. And of course... A clock. It costs $299.
Apple is rumored to unveil a smartwatch next week.
