Housecall for Health: TV-Monitored Heart Health

Heart

Your next television could be able to monitor your heart health.

FOX News Radio’s Joy Piazza explains in this edition of “Housecall for Health”:

Your TV could soon monitor your heartbeat, and warn you about the risk of a heart attack. Some of the technology already exists in video games.

Starting this fall, Microsoft Kinect will have biometric sensors that monitor the heart rate and perspiration of gamers.

Researchers at MIT say it won’t be much of a leap for future TV’s to monitor the interval between heartbeats, which can provide an early warning to TV-watchers who might be at risk of a cardiac problem.
