BRIAN’S OPENING THOUGHTS
Brian is astounded that NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg is ACTUALLY getting positive media attention for the $12 million he is spending of his OWN money to campaign all over the United States for gun control. Brian also looks into the breaking details that have come from Newtown, CT, where findings from the search warrant of the Lanza household have been revealed.
Why does DARA TORRES have such good skin?! Brian interviewed the 12-time Olympic medalist and solved the mystery! Torres talked about Torres talked about one of her favorite products that keeps her skin supple even after long hours in the pool, AmLactin. She also talked about other aspects of her post-Olympic life and weighed in on the Late Night Show changes at NBC, in which she was a frequent guest on.
Brian’s co-host of FOX & Friends Steve Doocy stopped by and reviewed the breaking news of what came out of the search warrant from the Lanza household. Doocy also commented on the $12 million that Mayor Bloomberg is spending of HIS OWN MONEY in gun control campaigns throughout the United States, and why many media outlets are putting his actions in such a positive light.
FOX News Sunday host Chris Wallace talked about whether or not he finds it surprising that President Obama is digging his heals in on immigration reform and not gun control. “I think he is being a political realist about this,” Wallace said. “Personally, I think there should be an expanded background check, but I also think it’s essential that there has to be a more effective background check.”
Monica Crowley is says what the (BLEEP) is happening! She weighed in on the recent news that certain benefits have been cut from those in the military. “We have one force that stands between us and tyranny,” Crowley said. “We need to do everything we can to make sure they’re supported when they’re alive and taken care of when they’re dead.”
Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL), Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, talked to Brian about veterans and the issues that they have coming back from war. Miller also weighed in on what he thinks are the problems within the VA (Veterans Association). One problem, he said, is within the management. Other issues include a lack of electronic record-keeping system, and a surplus of employees that cannot do their job.
Shari Olefson, the author of Financial Fresh Start: Your Five Step Plan for ADAPTING and PROSPERING in the New Economy, talked to Brian about what steps the country needs to take in order to not get into a Cyprus-type situation. She also gave Brian some real estate advice when dealing with foreclosures and short-sales.
Joe Concha weighed in on the NBC’s Today Show imploding, and why Matt Lauer is getting blamed for the plummeting ratings. “No one can break up nicely over there; it’s always a Kardashian divorce! But it’s really entertaining from our perspective,” Concha said.
Concha also weighed in on the difference between NBC’s Today Show and ABC’s Good Morning America, and why one survived while the other disintegrated. He said that the main difference is that it was very clear that many people did not get along at the NBC network, including anchors Lauer and Curry.
