Enjoy watching that TV show during dinner?  Check up on your email while having a snack?  You might want to ditch those distractions, as they could be harmful to your waistline.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

New research finds one of the biggest culprits of overeating is distraction.  A study from the University of Liverpool shows people who eat while watching TV, playing games or reading – especially later in the day – tend to consume as much as 50% more calories in a sitting.

They say being an attentive eater, by sitting quietly and concentrating on eating, can decrease food consumption.
