    Alan mentioned Denmark in discussing universal healthcare. However, in Denmark, they cannot afford preventive care, so by the time you get diagnosed with something serious like cancer it is to late. The way around this is to have your own private insurance on top of the government provided universal care. With private insurance you go to the front of the line and don't need to wait 6-12 months to see a doctor.
