Pope Benedict XVI’s Final Farewell [VIDEO]
Pope Benedict XVI left the Vatican for Castel Gandolfo where greeted the faithful for the last time as Pope. Earlier in the day, the Pope pledge unconditional obedience to whomever the Cardinals choose as his successor.

Pope Benedict flew over Rome. His white helicopter over the Colosseum as the sun began to set.
He has just made his last salute to the faithful from the palace at Castel Gandolfo, where he will stay until April until work is completed on a small convent on Vatican grounds where he will live out his days.
The doors to his palace will close the Swiss Guard will go off duty and Pope Benedict will become His Holiness Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus.
