Pistorius Detective Faces Attempted Murder Charges [VIDEO]
Oscar Pistorius will sleep behind bars for another night in South Africa as the bail hearing was adjourned for the day. But the focus in the murder case has shifted to a detective after attempted murder charges came up against him.
FOX News Radio’s Simon Owen reports:
Audio clip:
The police officer leading this murder inquiry has been removed from that role after he was charged with seven counts of attempted murder in an unrelated case dating back two years.
(Phiyega) “I as the National Commissioner am appointing a new team to take the long-haul process.”
South African Police Chief General Riah Phiyega confirming Detective Hilton Botha is off the case.
Pistorius’s bail hearing has been adjourned for the day. His defense say he should be granted bail because he shot his girlfriend accidentally.
