Twinkies Making A Comeback?
Could the Twinkie be making a comeback? A source close to a potential deal between Hostess brands and two investment firms says yes.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Audio clip:
Two companies, C. Dean Metropoulos and Apollo Global Management are reportedly close to a deal with Hostess brands to buy the indestructible Twinkie and other snack cakes in a sale that we’re told is worth close to $400 million. A judge would have to approve it.
Hostess filed for bankruptcy last fall after years of turmoil with the company’s unions.
Meantime, other Hostess brands like Wonder Bread have already been sold off and are making their way back to store shelves.

On "60 Minutes" last Sunday, Hillary Clinton looked
like she had commandeered the last truckload of Hostess Twinkies and ate 'em all by herself!
So, since it appears that she loves them, I suspect Hillary
may be a secret, silent partner in one of the bidders identified in the NY Times Dealbook, Grupo Bimbo of Mexico (no bimbo she!) and that they
may sneak up and with a Bimbo eruption, win the Twinkies.
