why can trains never ever have to stop? they really need to be kept out of cities and towns. so many times they dont even try to stop until its way to late.

any professional truck driver never takes a rail road crossing for granted! when hauling hazmat it is mandatory to stop between 15 to 50 ft before a railroad crossing. its called stop look listen and live! and you never change gears while crossing. this driver openly broke the rules and should be punished as so! i have never in my career took for granted the signals are working properly. i always stop no matter where i am or what im hauling. the easy part of being a truck driver is driving. p.t.i. and safety come first! always! thats what seperate truck drivers from professional comercial vehicle operators! its only a 80,000 lbs. weapon. wake up and follow the rules or get the hell off the road!!!!
