Housecall for Health: Cats DON’T Cause Brain Cancer

Contrary to a recent study, your feline friend is not putting you at risk of developing brain cancer.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

Here’s some great news for cat lovers: Scientists prove that owning a cat does NOT increase your risk for brain cancer.  Last year, a major study found that a parasite specific to feline’s stomachs may be linked to brain tumors in humans.  But now research at Oxford says data shows no link at all, and pet cats are not a health risk to their owners.

The results are published in the journal, “Biology Letters.”
