Motivational Monday: Program Your Mind to Help You Become Your Best Self!

We were at the California State Fair recently and I always love the hypnotist show they have ever year. Where people strut around the stage doing the oddest things.

I admit, I used to think it was just carnival fare and the modern equivalent of the three headed pig or the mermaid at the circus side show. Sheer and simple lies.

But as I began studying the mind and particularly the power of our subconscious mind, I became a total believer in the ability to program the mind to do all sorts of things.

Hypnotists and self hypnosis have helped people kick smoking and over eating habits, reduce clutter and increase self confidence.

Not by magic or mystery, but by impregnating the subconscious mind with positive affirmations and positive thoughts and commands.

The beauty of this is that we don’t need a third party source to do this for us. Whether we know it or not, we hypnotize ourselves all the time!

When we drift off to sleep harboring anger or feeling sad or depressed, our conscious mind passes all that junk off to the subconscious mind, which ruminates over it all through our sleeping hours.

It’s not a coincidence when you have a nightmare after just seeing a scary movie. And it’s not a coincidence when you come up with a solution in your dreams to a personal puzzle you were thinking about just before drifting off.

It’s also not coincidence that you are terrible at something that your whole life people insisted you were terrible at.

This is why it is so harmful to tell someone they can’t do something in life, whether swinging a baseball bat or pursuing a particular career interest.  If the person BELIEVES the false claims, internalizes that false perception of them, and their thoughts expand on that false reality, the false reality can unfortunately become the day to day reality of themselves and everything around them.

If you played a “subliminal” tape of messages telling you how overweight and tired and poor and helpless and lacking you were, you’d start having a heck of a rough time during your waking hours.

That’s why many people use subliminal tapes to BETTER themselves. It works either way.

The subconscious mind is not critical. It doesn’t judge between right and wrong.

This is the beauty of it!!

It is just as easy to program your mind for success and abundance as it is to program it for failure and lack!

It’s all up to YOU and what you CHOOSE to “hypnotize” yourself with.

So…

What will it be today?

Will you believe in and focus on extraordinary things happening to you? Great health, wealth, and happiness coming your way?

Good. You should.

Why would you believe in and focus on anything LESS?

You deserve it. Take the first steps, mental and physical, in order to get there!
