To the people who think the 3.8% surtax will only affect the rich. Don't forget your 401k plans. Just about everyone has one and those mutual fund managers have to churn a lot of shares of stock to get that annual return. So you might want to prepare yourself for much smaller annual returns and thus having to work further into your old age to make this difference up.
