Man Convicted of Plotting to Blow Up NYC Subways [VIDEO]
A man has been convicted in New York City of plotting terrorist attacks that included a suicide-bomb attack on the city’s subways.
FOX News Radio’s Hank Weinbloom reports from New York City:
Audio clip:
Guilty on all counts: Adis Medunjanin is a Muslim, born in Bosnia, but he became a U.S. citizen. The prosecution said he and two high school classmates went to Pakistan in 2008, where he was recruited by al-Qaeda in a suicide-bomb plot on New York City targets including subway stations, Times Square and the New York Stock Exchange. He was also convicted of plotting to kill U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. The defense claimed Medunjanin never really wanted to kill anyone.
But now, he faces life in prison.
