A Tennessee girl is turned away from her high school prom because a teacher found her confederate flag-themed prom dress to be inappropriate.
FOX News Radio's Jane Metzler reports:
Her dress, red with crossed blue bars containing rows of white stars. Texanna Edwards and her date barred from the Gibson County High School Prom in Jackson, Tennessee Saturday night because her gown contained elements of the confederate flag.
Edwards: "They looked at me and said you can't go in because your dress is um, offensive and might start something."
The school superintendent says the teen was warned two months ago her dress might be unacceptable and could have caused racial tension at a school where that's already a concern.
