Stars & Bars Banned From TN Prom

A Tennessee girl is turned away from her high school prom because a teacher found her confederate flag-themed prom dress to be inappropriate.

FOX News Radio’s Jane Metzler reports:

Audio clip:

Her dress, red with crossed blue bars containing rows of white stars. Texanna Edwards and her date barred from the Gibson County High School Prom in Jackson, Tennessee Saturday night because her gown contained elements of the confederate flag.

Edwards: “They looked at me and said you can’t go in because your dress is um, offensive and might start something.”

The school superintendent says the teen was warned two months ago her dress might be unacceptable and could have caused racial tension at a school where that’s already a concern.

I think in that case since she was warned 2 months ago and the school is already have race tenion then she had enough time too think about it and could have come up with another ideal e even if it was something elese to do with her southern back ground so the school dis the right thing by turning her back before something ugly happens and the school was not ugly to her or her boyfriend I'm a reasonable person but I ignorant when I see it and it don't take a rocket genuss to figure it out
