Author Stieg Larsson’s heralded Millennium Trilogy comes to American cinema in this week’s FOXLight DVD release roundup.  Already a worldwide hit book series and Swedish film adaptation, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo got mixed reviews at the U.S. box office, but Rooney Mara‘s portrayal of Lisbeth Salander is not to be missed…

Jason Segel brought some lost luster back to his beloved Muppets, in apt fashion, in The Muppets.  It’s a get-the-gang-back-together-and-put-on-a-show flick with a galaxy of cameos from Jack Black to Mickey Rooney

Russell Brand gave voice to a drumming bunny in search of the big time in last Easter’s animated/live action combo hit Hop, also featuring Kaley Cuoco and James Marsden, and the voices of Hank Azaria and Hugh Laurie

Gary Oldman is brought out of retirement to rejoin Britain’s MI-6 to track down a potential double agent in their own ranks in the adaptation of the classic BBC series Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, also starring Colin Firth and Tom Hardy

A more classically portly Jonah Hill is the world’s worst babysitter taking his charges on an irresponsible overnight New York City adventure in The Sitter, and its “R” rating should tell you what irresponsibility to expect…

Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly invite Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz over to try and resolve a scuffle that’s taken place between their children in Carnage, director Roman Polanski‘s latest darkly comedic character study.
