Shoppers Riot Over Sneakers [VIDEO]
Police near Orlando were forced to chase hundreds of people away from a shoping mall late Thursday after a crowd waiting for a new sneaker to go on sale got too rowdy, too fast.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports from Miami:
Audio clip:
Hundreds of people waiting for Nike’s new All-Star collection to go on sale at the Florida mall near Orlando were told to go home because the sale was cancelled.
(Ginette Rodriguez) ”The crowd became kind of angry because of that, after waiting for so long in line.”
Says Ginette Rodriguez with the Orange County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office.
And when the crowd wouldn’t leave, in came police with riot gear and on horseback.
Nobody was hurt and only two people were arrested. Everybody else ran.
