Now Paula Deen reveals she has been battling Type 2 diabetes for three years, along with her role as a pitch-person for the Novo Nordisk drug company that supplies her medication.
Some critics slamming Deen for endorsing medication to battle the disease while teaching people how to serve up high fat, high calorie dishes.
Being overweight, a factor upping one’s risk for the disease.
The celebrity chef talking moderation. Deen, who turns 65 Thursday, saying you can have diabetes and a piece of cake, you cannot have diabetes and eat the whole cake.

I'm sad for Paula, but not all that surprised. Maybe she should look into a healthier diet to treat her diabetes instead of drugs?
