Housecall for Health: Daycare Health

A new study suggests that despite some health risks for a child attending daycare, it may benefit them later on in life.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

Children in daycare may get sick more often than children who stay home, but that doesn’t mean their frequency of illness will be long-term.  In fact, the study from the Australian government found that kids who attend daycare are more likely to grow up to be healthier with a stronger immune system than kids who did not attend.

Experts say that the exposure to a range of infectious diseases may provide protection later on.
