Anybody check on who’s running Libya these days? I have, and there is shocking news to report to you. Moammar Qaddafi is still in charge. Can you believe that? I can’t.
The President of the United States said Qaddafi had to go. He said it, and then he launched a war to make sure Qaddafi did go. Is Qaddafi gone? No, actually he and his military are firing cluster bombs and artillery into rebel held towns. Killing civilians with impunity.
Now we find out that the American warplanes that caused so much damage in the early days of this war or maybenotwar have been pulled out, and we’re instead sending in Predator drones to shoot hellfire missiles at the Libyan military acting on Qaddafi’s orders.
It’s shaping up as a stalemate. And if it’s stalemate, Qaddafi wins and Obama loses.
If we’re going to lose a war, shouldn’t we at least try to win?
