Twoppics, the stories behind the hottest topics on Twitter…

Audio clip:

A bad day to be a New York City rat…your twoppic of the moment is the Bronx Zoo.  This after a poisonous Egyptian cobra escaped from its enclosure at the zoo sometime last Friday.  As of early this morning, still no sign of the deadly snake.  In a statement, the zoo’s director says they are confident that the asp, dubbed Cobra-dini…ala Harry HOUdini…is secure within the reptile house.  Obviously, going inside that building may not be the wisest idea…the zoo is keeping it closed.  Twitter is having a field day with it, both of the light-hearted variety like @mikeogorman…

and @DaveWez…

…and the heart attack version, like @MelDuralia…

Your twoppic of the moment is Lois Lane…Amy Adams has been cast as Clark Kent’s leading lady in the new film version of the comic.  Twitter has mixed feelings about it…  @jerwinforbes…

and @ChrgrS3…

…are among those sharing their opinions.

Your top twoppic is #SongsForJapan.  The new fundraising album is available on iTunes, and includes 38 tracks featuring John Lennon’s “Imagine”…Leona Lewis’ “Better In Time”…and The Boss with “Human Touch.”  Lady Gaga, Keith Urban, Elton John, Eminem and Madonna are just some of the other artists contributing.  The proceeds from the $9.99 album go to relief and recovery support in Japan.  Some of the artists promoting the album and their appearance on it including Katy Perry…

Justin Bieber…

and Josh Groban…

I’m @ChrisHoenigFNR and those are your hot @Twoppics on FOX News Radio.
