The ‘80s style action flick’ gets resurrected in this week’s FOXLight DVD release roundup.  Sylvester Stallone leads a group of old-school mercenaries to South America to overthrow a dictator in The Expendables, whose cast includes Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis and a Rocky IV reunion with Dolph Lundgren

Julia Roberts is a divorcee who decides to shake up her wayward life by traveling around the world in Eat Pray Love, based on the best-selling book and co-starring Javier Bardem and James Franco

I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix is a document of Phoenix’s real-life attempt to have us (and a maybe-in-on-the-joke David Letterman) believe he wanted to junk it all and become a rapper.

Also out this week…

Director Rob Reiner goes back to his Stand By Me days for Flipped, a story of two second graders who meet and for the next six years play a game of tug o’ war style puppy love: she loves him, he’s not so sure…till he almost loses her…

Santa’s new best friend is Paws, a talking dog who accompanies him to New York City in Disney’s The Search For Santa Paws.  But when Santa loses his memory, Paws and some new found friends must come to the rescue and save the season.

Music on DVD includes…

Michael Jackson’s Vision collects all 35 short films the deceased King of Pop produced during his lifetime on 3 DVDs, including some bonus videos with The Jacksons and Paul McCartney

Sting: Live In Berlin is culled from a recent show on his Symphonicity tour, featuring his greatest hits in orchestral arrangements, with special guest Branford Marsalis joining in.
