Obama and his media crew screamed bloody murder when Sarah Palin charged his new Health Care Extravaganza would feature “death panels” deciding who gets to live or die, depending on the cost of keeping them alive.

Well, the other shoe dropped and it turns out Sarah Palin was right. President Obama has named the person who will effectively run his health care plan and it turns out to be a guy named Dr. Donald Berwick. This is a man who for years has been touting the wretched British health care system as the one we should adopt, because the Brits ration health care. In other words, the government in Britain decides who gets treatment and who does not, based on costs. So if you’re really sick and it’s really expensive to treat you, you die. If you are lucky enough to be sick with something that has a cheap cure, well, you live to sweat it out another day.
Do you want the government deciding how much can be spent to keep you alive? No, I don’t either. But that’s Obama’s plan, and he’s got the man to make sure it happens.
