MEDIA DOUBLE STANDARD?

The McCain campaign is wondering if the national media is using a double standard. Campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds is referencing a blog that features a photo of Obama supporters wearing t-shirts painted with filthy language about Gov. Sarah Palin. At another rally, Obama supporters were heard chanting, “Stone Sarah Palin.” However, there has been little, if any, media coverage of those events.

On the other hand, there has been plenty of coverage about the rantings of some of Senator McCain’s supporters. So what do you think? Is the media giving both candidates a fair shake?

I think I’ve definitely noticed a double standard here in Ohio. At many of the McCain rallies throughout the state (one I wittnessed for myself) there are always Obama protestors/hecklers. I’ve heard from many people that the same cannot be said of McCain supporters at Obama rallies. Yet it never gets covered that only one candidate is being protested or the things being said by the Obama supporters. Both seem pretty newsworthy to me!
