NICE TIE, MR. PRESIDENT

Midway through President Clinton’s address to the Democratic National Committee, I noticed we were wearing similar ties — both powder blue. Afterwards, I ran into the former president in the hallway.

“Nice tie, Mr. President,” I shouted as he briskly passed by with his entourage. The president stopped, pointed at my tie, smiled and gave me a thumbs-up.

That’s pretty much the story. And yes, it was a blue tie.
