Fraternities that host beer bashes are more than welcome at the University of Florida. A Christian fraternity is not welcome.
But that’s about to change.
The U.S. Court of Appeals ordered the university to recognize Beta Upsilon Chi. The Christian fraternity had been banned from the Greek system because they require members to be Christians.
That’s religious discrimination, according to the University of Florida.
The court ruling allows the fraternity access to meeting space and the ability to recruit members on campus.
